Serena Williams has reached the Wimbledon semi-finals after beating Camila Giorgi 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday.
This is Williams’ fourth tournament after her 16 months-maternity leave, during which she gave birth to daughter Alexis Olympia.
Williams said it was “a little bit of a surprise” that she got through to the semi-finals stage. “This is only my fourth tournament back, so I don’t feel pressure,” said Williams.
“I don’t feel I have to win this; I don’t feel I have to lose this. I’m just here just to be here and to prove that I’m back. And I feel like I’m back. I still have a long way to go to be where I was.”

After the win, the 36-year-old American is set to play Germany’s Julia Goerges on Thursday at the All England Club.
The other semi-final game will have Germany’s Angelique Kerber play against Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko.
